Catfish Are Jumpin and Bitin

We've had some rain and some heat.  The Fishing across the Eastern Half of Iowa remains seasonally good.  
Catfish are the top species for many anglers in the heat of summer.  Catfish spawn at 75 degree water according to Chad Dolan, Iowa DNR Fisheries Management Biologist.  He gives a great overview of the life cycle of the species in today's show. 
We have reports from Palo Outdoors, Terminal Lance Arms in Monticello, Little River Lake in Decatur County, Fin and Feather in Iowa City and Lake Darling in Southeast Iowa.

Long days are upon us.  Many places reporting good fishing as the season and the river flow changes.
Water Restriction Dams my close on several Mississippi Dams this weekend.  
Gnats and Hot Weather are the downside of this time of year.
Free Fishing Weekend has a lot of people ready to have some fun.

Memorial Weekend and the Fishing is Easy

Every bait shop has good news and is selling a lot of live bait. 
Big Catfish are biting and some sizable White Bass and Wipers.
Bluegill are getting very active.
All reporters were ready to tell about fishing in their areas.
